We partner with the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch, Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center, Pinellas Education Foundation, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes to provide godly mentoring by people in our church to youth around Pinellas County.
Pinellas County Prison Ministry
Local missionary Bryan Harper heads up this ministry, which reaches dozens of men every week at the Pinellas County jail and prison, supplying them with Bibles, Bible studies and recovery resources.
Second Chance’s mission is to bring the love of Jesus to the front door of women who are being exploited. We get together once a month to prepare for our Saturday outreach in a local club, which consists of putting together individual gift bags, baked goods, a dressing room basket, and lots of prayer.
Restore is an outreach ministry representing Christ to the skateboarding community here in Pinellas County. We bring food, skateboards and other equipment, and of course the gospel to skateboarders in the area.
Win The Bay
This is a Harborside initiative in which we partner with over 20 charities and ministries around the Tampa Bay area who we serve alongside for one morning. At Win the Bay in 2019, over 450 people from our church came to serve. We can’t wait for Win the Bay 2020, which will take place this October!
Outreach Leaders are members of Connect Groups here at Harborside who mobilize their groups to serve in the community by partnering with a local nonprofit or creating their own project once or more throughout the year.
Operation Christmas Child
In 2019, we sent out 1,984 shoe boxes across the globe to children in need. These shoe boxes are filled with simple provisions that can make a child’s Christmas, and they also come with the message of the gospel of Jesus. The operation is conducted in partnership with Samaritan’s Purse.
Safety Harbor Prayer Walks
Beginning this December, Harborside’s Outreach Director Lissette Metellus will be leading prayer walks through Safety Harbor. The prayer walks will take place on the second Saturday every month. We will pray for the city, pray with and for the people we encounter, and have lunch together to wrap up the walks.
One focus of our Outreach Team for the upcoming year is enhanced equipping of the people who go out from our church to serve both locally and globally. Keep an eye out for dates for these sessions in 2020!
Taste of Grace
Taste of Grace volunteers use meals to offer comfort and encouragement, to show love, and to be vehicles for God’s love to those in need. We deliver food following a birth, surgery, illness, period of grief or other stressful situation.
Hearts in Service (HIS)
Hearts in Service women serve as the hands and feet of Christ as they share his love through compassionate service, making visits to hospitals, rehabilitation centers, homes and nursing homes to offer comfort, prayer and encouragement.
