Operation Christmas Child is a go this year!  Harborside is partnering with Samaritan’s Purse once again to hand out and collect shoeboxes that will be sent to children around the world.  With every shoebox gift that is given, the gospel is also presented and every person present has the opportunity to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Samaritan’s Purse has created an awesome opportunity this year for all those who would prefer to contribute to Operation Christmas Child virtually.  Through this opportunity, you now have the ability to build an entire shoebox online, select the toys and items you would like to go in the shoebox, choose the gender and age of the child receiving the gift, and pay for the costs and shipping for a flat rate of $25.  This is a great way for families with young kids, elderly who are high risk, or even for those who do not have time to make it to a store, to still build a shoebox this year.

Shoeboxes are now available to be picked up at the church during business hours, and will also be located at the corner display starting November 8th when Harborside re-opens for in-person services!
This year, for the first time, Harborside Christian Church is becoming a relay center for National Collection Week.  What this means, is that we will be able to collect shoeboxes from not just our church members, but also from people around the county, during the final week of collection, November 16th-22nd.

Ways to Get Involved

• Pick up empty shoeboxes from the church for friends and family to build.

• Share the link with those who you think would enjoy building a shoebox online!

• Sign up here to serve on a Sunday or during our National Collection Week to help distribute and collect shoeboxes.
