Surfside Kids Children’s Ministry

will provide childcare and programming for Tuesday & Wednesday evenings during Connect Group meeting times. Groups meeting any other days or times are responsible for arranging their own childcare. Childcare will be available for birth through age 2. Programming for ages pre-K 3 - 5th grade will involve a deeper emphasis of the previous Sunday morning’s theme by trained and screened Children’s Ministry workers.

All children must be preregistered

before using the Church’s childcare service. Online registration for childcare service will begin more than a month prior to the Connect session startup and will close 7-10 days before the session begins. All late registrations must complete a registration envelope one week prior to the child entering his/her class and pay a $5 late registration fee in addition to paying the fee for childcare. Late Registration envelopes are available through Group Leaders and at the Connect Desk. 

Childcare Cost:

$2 for the 1st child and $1 for each additional child for each week of the session, to be paid in full online in advance of the session beginning. To utilize childcare after a session starts, a prorated amount will be assessed by the Children’s Ministry for the remaining weeks. Those who join after the session begins must provide a one- week notice to the Children’s Ministry prior to using the childcare service. A parent may volunteer and earn free childcare for a Connect session. 

Drop Off & Pick Up

For Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, drop off can be no earlier than 6:30 pm, and pick up no later than 8:30 pm. A 5-minute grace period will be allotted after which a late fee may be assessed to offset the additional cost necessary to pay child- care workers. 

Childcare workers

must submit a W-9 and an Application for Children/Youth Ministry Work so that a background check may be run on all childcare workers. Prior to working with the children, the Children’s Ministry must have a verified background check. Please allow one week for this process. Forms may be obtained from the Children’s Ministry.
