The Timothy Initiative – Restoring Relationships with Christ

The Timothy Initiative is a nonprofit movement dedicated to ministry as outlined by Paul in 2 Corinthians 5. We believe that Christ offers the promise of becoming a new creation and that our mission as the Timothy Initiative is to seek out the lost, addicted, homeless depressed and those who have been hit hard by life. We believe that we are ministers of reconciliation, urging each man through Christ to be reconciled to God. For us that looks like offering community, accountability, and comprehensive restoration to the broken. Our goal is for each individual to realize the potential of what his life could be once freed from the bondage of despair by the power of Jesus Christ. Church and Community Outreach

Church and Community Outreach is a nonprofit organization where we operate a food pantry in the downtown Safety Harbor area. We successfully provided emergency food provisions for more than 2000 families in 2009. In addition, we provided 300 Thanksgiving meals to families and 300 supermarket gift cards during the Christmas season. Our numbers of families asking for assistance are growing at such a huge rate, we must find new ways to stock our shelves. This will involve recruiting new churches and organizations to participate and also exploring other avenues for purchasing food. Please contact Judy Mitchell at 727-934-9124 if you feel led to serve with us or donate.

New Life Solutions

New Life Solutions is a nonprofit organization that has three pregnancy center locations in Countryside, Largo, and Pinellas Park serving our community. We offer many free services to those experiencing an unplanned pregnancy including free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, peer counseling (volunteer life coaches), many classes to help equip them to be parents and discipleship training to help them develop a deep and lasting relationship with Jesus. We also offer Passages, a Post-Abortion Bible Study and Support Group. Through this nine-week study our clients learn how through Christ there is forgiveness, healing and restoration. Since 1973 there has been over 50 million abortions in the United States leaving millions of hurting women and men who need post abortion grief support. Since 1999 nearly 65,000 students have participated in our More2Life Youth Development Program in middle schools and high schools in Pinellas County. We are approved by the Pinellas County School Board and the State of Florida Department of Health and Human Services. We present age appropriate messages of sexual purity and equip them for success. By helping students recognize that the decisions they make today impact their tomorrows, this program becomes their partner in setting boundaries, developing refusal skills and setting goals. Through this program they discover why they need to say “no” to at risk behaviors and how to make better choices for their futures. Our focus is on preventing teen pregnancies and STD’s! Our “Breath of Life” Women’s Health and Birth Center is our Christ-Centered OB/Gyn practice opened to all women of all ages where we provide both well women health care and birthing services. We assist those clients who have had an unplanned pregnancy providing them with excellent pre-natal care and discipleship. We accept Medicaid, Insurance and Self pay. Some Major objectives we have for this year are to see over 365 babies saved from abortion, to have over 125 salvations and re-dedications, to average 10 births a month, to speak to over 3,000 students on the benefits of sexual purity, to recruit new volunteers, and raise 700,000 dollars through our Gala & Walk For Life Events. Sunshine Christian Homes, Inc.

The Sunshine Christian Home is a nonprofit organization, located in Holiday, Florida. Our Mission Statement is to honor God by providing quality care in a Christian environment at an affordable cost to the elderly. Mission donations are deposited in a “Charitable Care Fund;” the funds are then used to pay the difference in the room rate and the indigent resident’s income. (Currently, there are twelve residents receiving charitable discounts, eight Medicaid/OSS residents, fifteen Medicaid waiver residents, and ten Medicaid diversion residents receiving funds). These residents represent approximately 45% of our census. To continue our mission, we plan to continue with and expand programs. Some objectives we have are to acquire charitable funds, which would allow us to admit more indigent and state assisted Medicaid recipients and minister to their spiritual needs as well as physical needs. Continue daily devotions in our Chapel at 8:30 am, Sunday afternoon worship service and communion, and Bible Study Groups. We’d love for you to contact us @ 727-934-8052, or even Email us at schdt@sunshinechristianhomes.org.
