What does a Community Group look like?
Community Groups come in all shapes and sizes depending on the needs of the people in the group. Most Community Groups consist of 8 – 12 people who are in the same “season of life.” Some of the determining factors of “life seasons” are age range, marital status, number of years married, and ages of children. However, here at Harborside, we are pleased to offer Family Groups. Family Groups look like a “biological” family. They consist of 4 – 5 families who are at various “seasons of life.” Children, parents and grandparents study together, pray together and “do life” together.
When do Community Groups meet?
Each Community Group decides when and where it wants to meet. We can help you find a group that will fit your “season of life,” and schedule and connect you with them.
How do I become part of a Community Group?
There are two ways to become part of a Community Group:
• Complete the Information Request Form below, and a staff member will contact you with information regarding available groups.
• Join us for a GroupLink, held periodically through the year in the Harborside Lobby. GroupLink is an opportunity for you to meet some Group Leaders and others, like you, who are looking to get into a group. It is a time to “shop for” and “buy into” a group. The environment of GroupLink is casual and fun, yet purposeful - that purpose being… to form Community Groups. You will have the opportunity to be in a group by the end of the event!
